His wretched cares to enthrall

And comfort and ease bring his mind. •••

With pipe his long sad night lend,

In gloom and pangs of grief will he curtail

His life and with piteous moans rend. •••

And should he ever with opulence meet,

So he would on aerial castees muse

Luil’d by the fumes of a pipe that dreams sweet

Rouse, of joys and deeds that amuse. •••
