Thabit ibn Jabir ibn Sufyan ibn ‘Amithal al-Mashhur bi Laqab: Ta’abbata Sharran

Taabbata Sharran, originally named Thabit ibn Jabir ibn Sufyan ibn Amithal, was a pre-Islamic Arabian poet renowned for his bravery and the themes of heroism in his poetry. He belonged to the tribe of Banu Shayban. His works are characterized by vivid descriptions of desert life, battles, and personal valor. Despite the scarcity of his surviving poetry, his verses are celebrated for their eloquence and depth, offering insights into the values and social fabric of pre-Islamic Arabia.
