The national UK charity promoting humanism is the British Humanist Association (BHA). The BHA campaigns for an open society and a secular state, and provides non-religious celebrations and ceremonies for important events such as funerals and weddings. It has been supporting non-religious people and promoting humanism since 1896, and it works in a wide range of contexts from schools to Parliament to achieve its aims.
